Message of the CEO

“A society grows great when men plant trees whose shade they shall never sit in.” – Greek Proverb

These past months have not been easy for any of us, and while it is of comfort knowing we are all in the same boat, it is truly thanks to our strength and resilience that we did not give up. Quite the contrary, as individually and collectively, Azuri’s residents, staff and cohorts continue to question and reinvent themselves to become more robust than ever.

It is with a sigh of relief that Mauritius and its citizens move into Phase 3 of the island’s re-opening strategy, following four months of lockdown and uncertainty that has influenced our lifestyle and routines for the second time since the beginning of last year.

I take this opportunity to thank homeowners and residents – near and far – once again, for exhibiting cooperation and outreach toward one another, to neighbouring families and to regional communities. This guiding principle of patience and respect serves as a model to us all – we are truly blessed to be in its presence.

I also want to thank and commend the men and women of Azuri’s security and operational teams. By protecting the village and its perimeter, assuring regular maintenance, the upkeep of homes and property, and sustaining the estate’s essential services, you have assured that our village was kept safe and peaceful.

The government’s decision to re-open Mauritian borders is great news for the country, and for Azuri. It is heartening that our sales and development teams never lost faith in Azuri’s overriding vision. They remained busy these last months, looking ahead while planning our prime development projects and for future growth. From the real estate perspective, we are fully prepared to participate in the economic recovery and delighted that three of our main projects are already in the pipeline with production underway.

– Construction is progressing on our flagship project, which incorporates the 9-Hole Par 3 Golf Course – set for opening mid-2022 – and infrastructure works within the Rive Droite neighbourhood.

– The luxury Golf View Villas are starting to see the light of day at Rive Droite, and as building works commence on a couple of these homes, we witness the emergence of a new residential area overlooking our stunning golf course.

– Les Hautes Rives, situated inside the main entrance gate, is the latest neighbourhood at Azuri to be commercialised to Mauritian citizens as serviced land for sale, and with earthworks now completed.

The advent of these developments endorses our aspiration to make Azuri a sustainable village where well-being, health and sport form part of a progressive evolution to become a Smart City society for today and always.

I close this message by sending you my best wishes for a safe and successful reprise of your daily lives, loves, hopes and dreams.
