Vision
Whether you’re looking for a holiday destination or a home to live abroad, Azuri is the ultimate experience for anyone in search of a better way to live.
The vision for Azuri is to create a true Mauritian, ocean front lifestyle village conceived to satisfy the demands of the modern world through a blend of contemporary island living and exotic fun experiences.
Azuri is devoted to the celebration of a Mauritian lifestyle. The developers have sought to create a new seaside village; providing education, hospitality, leisure and commercial facilities built around luxury residences. The project will deliver living opportunities that will stimulate the senses, providing a compelling and functional platform for the growth of a truly sustainable community.
Azuri is not aiming to be solely a vacation development. It will be a vibrant and evolving community of both year round residents and seasonal guests. The diverse collection of maritime and land based activities provided on the site, coupled with the year round events calendar, will enhance the experience and make it the focal point for an entire region.
The sustainable initiatives that are being taken at AZURI are as follows: -
- Water – fully independent and sustainable with all supply coming from a combination of treated river water, rainwater harvesting and grey water reticulation.
- Sewage – fully independent and sustainable with all waste captured and treated on site in water treatment plant.
- Water supply – 2 pipe supply system to all units for use of grey water in toilet cisterns and irrigation.
- Hot Water – all hot water through solar water heaters.
- Land Usage – Density of 22 residences per hectare of land used. A normal IRS can be as low as 1 per hectare. A morcellement project circa 10 per hectare. As such Azuri is making more use of the scarcest resource Mauritius has.
- Recycling – all commercial and private residences participate in the internally run recycling system. This is not mandatory in Mauritius and Azuri the first project to undertake collection, separation and recycling of refuse for collection by third parties.
