The School at Azuri
In seeking to address the requirements of both Azuri’s residents and both the local and international market, the promoter has identified that a key to the success of the project will be the establishment of primary and secondary educational facilities. In this regard the promoters are currently under initial contracts and working with a variety of parties on opportunities that should not only anchor Azuri as the most desirable educational magnet in Mauritius, but in the entire Indian Ocean Region.
The proposal for the project that the promoters are seeking is to establish both a private primary and secondary school with full boarding facilities. This is seen as an exciting addition to the creation of a viable community and will seek to respond to:
- The shortage of private school places currently being experienced in the affluent North of the Island.
- The Government’s initiatives to establish Mauritius as a Knowledge Hub for the Region.
- The complete lack of any “Boarding” or residential academic facilities on the island.
- The position of Mauritius within the region as an oasis of stability, safety and security.
To this end the promoters have identified over 30 acres of the site for which educational operators at the various levels will be sought.
